Therapeutic Indications: It is used to clean skin and mucous infections, already infected or risk of being infected. Contraindications: Do not use MERCRYL FOAM SOLUTION for skin in the following cases: - If you are allergic (very sensitive) to the active ingredients or one of its components contained in Mercryl. - do not apply on the eyes or eyes. - for disinfecting of medical and surgical equipment. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ADVISABLE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Cautions: External use only. Risk of absorbing into the blood if used on a large area, under an occlusive dressing (water/air resistant), on burned skin and on new skin. Use with precaution on newborns, especially premature babies. This solution can cause chemical skin burns. Precautions for use: Use as instructed and do not keep for a long time once opened due to microbial contamination, especially if the bottle is bigger than 250ml. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT HESITATE TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Interaction with other drugs: MERCRYL FOAM SOLUTION must not be used at the same time as other anti-septics due to the risk of skin irritations or being less effective. If you use a soap, rinse off rinse before applying MERCRYL FOAM SOLUTION. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken another medication. Pregnancy and breast feeding: Do not apply onto the breasts during breast feeding. If you are pregnant, think you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug. Dosage: The solution can be used 1-2 times per day for 7-10 days. Application must last at least one minute to make sure it has worked. Apply on the skin: apply directly onto the skin with a sterile dressing. On genital mucous membranes: dilute one volume of solution with 10 volumes of water. Then apply onto the skin. It is very important to rinse after application. Follow the doctor’s advice. How to use: Local use. Do not swallow. Length of treatment: Follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist. Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose: Overdose: rinse well with water. Side effects: Like all medication, this drug can cause side effects, but will not arise for everyone. - dry skin after rinsing - skin irritations - eczema Composition: Active ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride: 0.500 g Under the form of benzalkonium chloride: 0.985 g Chlorhexidine digluconate: 0.200 g Under the form of Chlorhexidine digluconate 1.065 g Per 100ml. Other ingredients: citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, purified water.
