Product Indication Rennie Chewable Tablets are an antacid. They are suitable for ages 15 and over to relieve heartburn and acid reflux. Directions for Use To be taken orally. Chew or suck slowly. Dosage Take 1 or 2 tablets at the onset of symptoms; alternatively, 4 to 8 tablets per day. If the discomfort is more intense, the maximum daily dose can be increased briefly to 12 tablets. Length of Treatment Do not use for more than 10 days. Ingredients Per tablet: Active Ingredients: Calcium carbonate: 680.00 mg Heavy magnesium carbonate: 80.00 mg Excipients: Potato starch, pre-gelatinised corn starch, magnesium stearate, talc, light liquid paraffin, mint flavour, lemon flavour, sucrose Precautions for Use Unless recommended by your doctor, do not use this medicine if: – your discomfort is being caused by weight loss; – you have difficulty swallowing or chronic abdominal pain; – it is the first time that you are experiencing digestive difficulty, or if the nature of the discomfort has recently changed; or – you have kidney disease. Contains sucrose. Do not take if you are fructose-intolerant, or have glucose-galactose malabsorption or a sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (all of which are rare, inherited disorders). Contra-indications Do NOT use if: – you are allergic to any of this medicine's ingredients; – you have severe kidney disease; or – you are hypercalcaemic (i.e. you have an abnormally high blood-calcium level).
