Composition

American Cranberry or Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon Aiton) is traditionally consumed to cleanse the urinary tract. It acts by modifying the adhesion of certain bacteria to the walls of the urinary tract, in particular bacteria of the Escherichia coli type, the cause of 80% of recurrent urinary tract infections. This inhibitory effect is due in particular to the type A proanthocyanidins contained in the fruit. These specific active ingredients help to limit the attachment of germs to the urinary sphere and promote their elimination.
