This medicine contains an antifungal agent (active against fungi) of the imidazole family. This medicine is recommended for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of certain mycoses (skin disorders caused by fungi).
Candidiasis :
- Treatment of non-macerated mycoses of the folds: genital, submammary, interdigital intertrigo, etc.
- Adjunctive treatment of nail mycoses: onyxis, perionyxis. Associated systemic antifungal treatment is necessary.
In some cases, simultaneous treatment of the digestive tract is recommended.
Dermatophytes :
- Treatment : Dermatophytes of hairless skin. Non-macerated genital and crural intertrigo.
- Adjunctive treatment of ringworm. An associated systemic antifungal treatment is necessary.
For EXTERNAL USE ONLY: apply directly to the skin.
Follow these steps carefully when applying:
1. Clean the affected area and its surroundings, then dry the skin well before application.
2. Apply PEVARYL to and around the affected area twice a day. 3. Massage gently and regularly until the cream is completely absorbed.
- The active substance is :

For 100 g of cream.
- The other ingredients are :
Macrogols 300 and 1500 and ethylene glycol stearate (TEFOSE 63), unsaturated polyglycolysed glycerides (LABRAFIL M 1944 CS), light liquid paraffin, benzoic acid, butylated hydroxyanisole, fragrance*, purified water.
*Fragrance composition: lavandin, orange, mandarin essential oils, linalyl acetate, citronellol, butylated hydroxytoluene, dipropylene glycol.
Be careful with PEVARYL :
- in children,
- on a large area of skin, - on damaged skin,
- in situations where the phenomenon of local occlusion may recur (e.g. elderly subjects, bedsores, submammary lesions).
In these cases, it is essential to follow the recommendations and dosage indicated in the leaflet, as the product penetrates the skin more easily.
- You must stop using this medicine if you develop an allergy (recognisable by redness, pimples, etc.) or irritation.
- Do not apply to the eye, nose or mucous membranes in general.
- Candidiasis: we advise against the use of soaps with an acidic pH (pH that encourages Candida to multiply).
- Due to the presence of benzoic acid, this medicine may cause irritation of the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
- This medicine contains propylene glycol and may cause skin irritation;
- This medicine contains butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) and may cause local skin reactions (eczema) or irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
In view of the limited but possible systemic transmission after topical application and the clinical experience, the use of PEVARYL 1 PER CENT, cream is not recommended during pregnancy or while breast-feeding, without the advice of your doctor. Do not apply to the breasts while breast-feeding. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
