Therapeutic Indications Treatment of bronchial secretion problems for adults, particularly in acute bronchial disorders and acute episodes of chronic pneumonia. This drug is an expectorant. It helps get rid of bronchial secretions by coughing. Contraindications Do not take SURBRONC EXPECTORANT, AMBROXOL, SUGAR-FREE drinkable solution sweetened with acesulfame potassium and sorbitol if allergic to one of its components. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ADVISABLE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Special warnings and side effects Due to the sorbitol content (2.9g per sachet), this medication should not be taken if you have a fructose intolerance (hereditary metabolic disease). It is recommended not to take medication that is an antitussive or that dries out the bronchial secretions at the same time as this treatment of this medication. Interaction with other drugs Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs. Pregnancy and breast feeding It is not recommended to use this drug during pregnancy. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Dosage ONLY TO BE TAKEN BY ADULTS. 1-2 full measuring cups (up to 5ml) morning and evening. How to use Orally. Frequency of dose: The doses should be taken at regular intervals. Length of treatment: The length of treatment should not be more than 8-10 days. Side effects Like all drugs SURBRONC EXPECTORANT, AMBROXOL, SUGAR-FREE syrup can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone): Gastro-intestinal effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, digestion problems have been rarely reported. The following have been reported: - skin reactions such as redness, rash, stretch marks, urticaria; - very rare cases of angioedema (swelling of the face and respiratory pain). In these cases, treatment must be stopped. Headaches and vertigo have also been very rarely reported. Due to the sorbitol content, possibility of digestive and diarrhoea problems.
