HIV Self Test - Biosynex - 1 Test

DESCRIPTION

The EXACTO PRO HIV Test provides a rapid diagnostic guidance test (TROD) for infection with HIV-1 and HIV-2, the viruses that cause AIDS. This self-test detects, from a drop of blood (5µl) taken from the fingertip, the presence of anti-HIV1 and anti-HIV-2 antibodies. It provides a 99.5% reliable and accurate result in just 10 minutes.

USAGE ADVICE

Please read the instructions carefully and completely before use. Have a watch or stopwatch available. Wash your hands with soap and water and dry them well. Remove all items from the box and place them on a clean, flat surface. Identify each item in the kit by referring to the instructions. Open the pouch and take out the cassette. The test should be done within one hour. Remove the alcohol wipe from the pouch and disinfect the fingertip chosen for collection. Remove the swab and wipe off any alcohol residue. Remove the cap from the lancing device. Apply the lancing device to the fingertip and trigger it by pressing firmly on the other end. Squeeze the fingertip to form a large drop of blood. Place the flared end of the lancing device over the drop of blood to fill it completely. Immediately place the drop of blood into the square "BLOOD" well of the cassette. The drop of blood should make direct contact with the bottom of the well. Check that the space is completely red before proceeding to the next step. Open the diluent bottle and place two drops in the round "DILUENT" well of the cassette. Start the stopwatch or note the time of deposit. Wait 10 minutes to read the result. Do not read beyond 20 minutes. During this time, place the dressing on the pricked finger. For a negative test, only the C band appears. For a positive test, both the C band and the T band appear.
