Mylan Purified Flavonoid Fraction is a veinotonic (a medicine that increases vein tone and strengthens the minor blood vessels). It is recommended for treating:

– problems with venous circulation (such as heavy legs, pains, restless legs, nocturnal cramps, oedema and poor distribution of nutrients by the blood) and

– haemorrhoids (or piles acute haemorrhoidal disease). It may also be used as a long-term treatment for haemorrhoidal disease (symptoms of which include pains, bleeding and itching).

Indication

Purified Flavonoid Fraction 500 mg is a phlebotrope: it increases the tone of the veins and the resistance of small blood vessels. It is indicated in:

- the treatment of venous circulation disorders (heavy legs, pain, impatience, nocturnal cramps, edema, trophic disorders),

- the treatment of acute attacks of hemorrhoidal disease, hemorrhoids,

- the basic treatment hemorrhoidal disease (pain, bleeding, scratching, etc.),

- symptomatic treatment of functional disorders of capillary fragility.

It is a therapeutic equivalent of Daflon

Composition

The active substance is: Purified micronized flavonoid fraction ......................................... ................................................ 500, 00 mg

Corresponding to: Diosmin (90%) ........................................ .................................................. ............................................. 450.00 mg

Flavonoids expressed as hesperidin (10%) ........................................... .......................................... 50.00 mg

The other ingredients are : Core: microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), talc, magnesium stearate. Film coating: sodium lauryl sulfate, Opadry orange 03G34105 (hypromellose, glycerol, titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide yellow (E172), iron oxide red (E172), polyethylene glycol 6000, magnesium stearate).

Dosage

Oral route. Always take the dose recommended by your doctor. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Purified Flavonoic Fraction 500 tablets should be absorbed with meals.

- In the treatment of venous circulation disorders and as a basic treatment for hemorrhoidal disease: take 2 tablets per day with meals. - - In the treatment of hemorrhoidal crisis, take 6 tablets per day for 4 days, then 4 tablets per day for the following 3 days, then take 2 tablets per day on the following days if necessary.

During the consultation, your doctor will tell you how long to use Fraction Flavonoique Purified. Do not stop your treatment prematurely. Do not take this medicine for more than 3 months without consulting your doctor.

Precautions for use

A healthy lifestyle is the basis of the treatment of venous circulation disorders. Do not take the therapeutic equivalent of Daflon for more than 3 months without consulting your doctor.

Pregnancy and breast feeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or want to have a child. As a precaution, it is not recommended to use this medication during the first three months of pregnancy. Following postnatal tests carried out in animals, no behavioral disturbances or anatomical abnormalities in the young during the lactation period have been demonstrated.
