Description
Sedorrhoide is recommended for certain anal conditions accompanied by pain and/or itching sensations, particularly haemorrhoids. Sedorrhoide suppository is a topical medicine containing a local anaesthetic (benzocaine) and anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and decongestant substances.
Directions for use
Method of administration
Sedorrhoide is taken by the anal route.
Dosage
Apply the suppository 2 or 3 times a day.
Duration of treatment
Treatment should be short-term (no more than a few days). If the pain does not subside quickly, consult your doctor immediately.
Precautions and contraindications
Sedorrhoide suppository has no known side effects. If you notice any, stop taking it and consult your doctor. In the event of interaction with another medicine, likely to modify the effects of the cream, consult your doctor. Never use Sedorrhoide haemorrhoidal crisis suppository in the following cases: allergy to benzocaine, allergy to local anaesthetics.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
This medicine should not be used during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. If you discover that you are pregnant, consult your doctor, who alone can decide whether you should continue treatment. As a general rule, you should seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine during pregnancy.
Composition
The active substances are (for one suppository) : - Dodeclonium bromide: 1.3 mg - Esculoside sesquihydrate: 6.0 mg - Enoxolone: 23.0 mg - Benzocaine: 50.0 mg The other ingredients are: Solid hemi-synthetic glycerides.
