Important Notice
Maternal or infant milk, the exclusive food for the first weeks of life, remains the staple food of young children, even when their diet is diversified. The nutritional requirements of infant growth make it advisable to use 2nd age milk, specially studied for this period of life, until the age of 1 year. Follow-on milk cannot be used as a substitute for breast milk during the first 6 months of life. The decision to introduce complementary foods, particularly before 6 months of age, should only be made on the advice of a healthcare professional.
