Therapeutic Indications This medication is treatment for signs of eye infections (allergic conjunctivitis). It is in the form of a 10ml bottle of solution. It is a colourless-light yellow liquid. Contraindications Do not use CROMABAK if you are allergic (very sensitive) to sodium cromoglycate or one of its components. Precautions for use - If you do not see any improvement or symptoms persist, consult your doctor. - If you wear contact lenses you can use Cromabak as it does not contain any preservatives. However if you are allergic, consult your doctor. Interaction with other drugs Wait 15 minutes before using eyewash treatments. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs. Pregnancy and breast feeding Cromabak be used during pregnancy and breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Driving and use of machinery Temporary blurry vision after using CROMABAK. Do not drive or use dangerous machinery until vision is back to normal. Dosage and Length of Treatment Always respect the prescribed dosage by your doctor. IF IN DOUBT CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST. Dosage: Children & Adults: depending on the severity of symptoms, 1 drop in each eye 2-6 times per day at regular intervals. Children: medical advice is necessary. Length of treatment: CROMABAK should be taken continuously other symptoms may reappear quickly. How to use Do not inject. Do not swallow. This is for use in the eyes only. 1. Wash hands well before using. 2. Avoid contact with the eyes and eyelids with the end piece. 3. One drop in each eye whilst looking upwards and inside eyelid downwards. 4. Close the lid after use. Side effects Like all drugs CROMABAK can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone). Side effects are: - allergic reactions to ingredients - temporary vision problems (burning, stinging) If you notice side effects that are not mentioned here, or if certain side effects become more severe, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Composition 20 mg/ml of sodium cromoglycate. Other ingredients: sodium chloride, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, monosodium phosphate dihydrate, water. Storage conditions Keep out of reach and view from children. Do not use CROMABAK after expiry date marked on the box. Keep the bottle inside its packaging away from sunlight. The bottle should not be kept for more than 8 weeks after opening.
