Product Description This medicine can be used to treat: – mild to moderate inflammatory acne; and – Acrodermatitis enteropathica. Dosage For oral use. Take with meals. – If you think that Rubozinc capsules are too strong or too weak for your body, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Adults: take 2 capsules per day – either together in the morning on an empty stomach, or spaced out between meals. Swallow with water. – Take this dose for the first 3 months; thereafter, take 1 capsule per day. – You can safely use this medicine while exposed to sunlight. To treat Acrodermatitis enteropathica: take 1 capsule per day, at least until the onset of puberty. – At puberty, it may be necessary to increase the daily dose to 2 capsules. Use strictly as prescribed by your doctor. Composition Per capsule: Active Ingredient Zinc gluconate: – of which zinc metal: 15 mg Other Ingredients Wheat starch, hydrated colloidal silica (Lévilite®), magnesium stearate, lactose Capsule Shell Composition Gelatine Packaging This medicine is made in capsule form and sold in packs of 30 or 60. Precautions for Use To ensure that this medicine is better absorbed, take it on an empty stomach, or between meals. Keep out of reach of children. Warnings – Wheat starch may contain gluten, but only in trace amounts. Therefore, this medicine is considered safe for coeliac disease sufferers. – Do not use if you are galactose-intolerant, or have Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption (these are rare hereditary disorders). Contra-indications Do NOT use if: – you are allergic to wheat – this medicine contains wheat starch; – if your doctor has diagnosed an intolerance to certain sugars, consult them before taking this medicine. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding: If you are pregnant: If you are pregnant, do not use unless recommended by your doctor. If you are trying to conceive, or learn that you are pregnant after treatment has commenced, consult your doctor – only they are qualified to asses how necessary it is that you pursue the treatment. If you are breast-feeding: This medicine can be safely used while breast-feeding. However, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any form of medicine.
