Description
In dogs: for use in flea and/or tick infestations, where repellent (anti-flea) activity against sandflies and/or mosquitoes is also required.
- Fleas: Treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). Fleas on the dog are killed within 24 hours of treatment. A single treatment is persistently effective against new adult flea infestations for four weeks. The product can be incorporated into a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) where this condition has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.
- Ticks: Treatment of infestations by Ixodes ricinus ticks. A single application provides 4 weeks of persistent acaricidal efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). If Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus ticks are present at the time of application, they may not all be killed within 48 hours. Sandflies and mosquitoes: A single treatment provides repellent (anti-gorging) activity against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti) for four weeks.
Directions for use
For dogs weighing less than 20 kg, apply the product in two points. The product should be used when there is a confirmed infestation or risk of infestation by fleas and/or ticks, and repellent (anti-gorging) activity is required against sandflies and/or mosquitoes.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. Do not use in rabbits or cats, as sometimes lethal side effects may occur (see also "Special precautions for use in animals"). Do not use in sick (systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals.
