Description
For dogs: treatment of flea and tick infestations. Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for up to 8 weeks. Acaricidal efficacy against ticks persists for up to 4 weeks. If ticks of certain species are present when the product is applied, they may not all be killed within the first 48 hours, but may be killed within the first week. The product cannot be included in a therapeutic programme for the treatment of Flea Bite Hypersensitivity Dermatitis (FBHD) if this has been previously diagnosed by the vet.
To combat flea and/or tick infestations effectively, the treatment regimen may take account of the local epidemiological situation. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
Directions for use
Dosage and route of administration:
For external use only. Apply the product directly to the skin according to the animal's weight, as follows: 1 pipette of 0.67 ml for a dog weighing between 2 kg and 10 kg.
Method of administration
Detach a pipette and hold it in an upright position. Gently tap the narrow end of the pipette to ensure that the contents flow down into the centre of the pipette. Break off the self-breaking end of the spot-on pipette along the engraved line. Part the animal's hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly on the skin. Press gently several times to empty the entire contents of the pipette at one or two points along the back. Take care to apply the product to an area that the animal cannot lick and ensure that animals do not lick each other after treatment. Do not apply an excessive amount of product to any one area to prevent the hair from becoming sticky. However, if this happens, the stickiness will disappear within 24 hours of application.
