Description
This medicine contains aspirin. Aspirin belongs to the family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Aspirin can be used to relieve pain (analgesic), lower fever (antipyretic) and / or decrease inflammation.
ASPEGIC INFANTS 100 mg powder for oral solution in sachet-dose contains 100 mg of aspirin. He is used :
In the event of pain and / or fever such as headache, flu-like symptoms, toothache or stiffness,
In the treatment of certain rheumatic diseases.
This dosage is reserved for infants and children weighing between 6 and 22 kg (approximately 3 months to 7 years).
For children of different weight, there are other forms of aspirin with more suitable dosage.
Using advice
The recommended daily dose of aspirin is approximately 60 mg / kg / day, divided into 4 or 6 divided doses, i.e. approximately 15 mg / kg every 6 hours or 10 mg / kg every 4 hours (see also in the paragraphs below depending on your child's weight).
Children 6 to 8 kg (approximately 3 to 9 months): The usual dose is 1 sachet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 sachets per day.
Children from 9 to 11 kg (approximately 9 to 24 months): The usual dose is 1 sachet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 sachets per day.
Children from 12 to 16 kg (approximately 18 months to 5 years): The usual dose is 2 sachets per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 8 sachets per day.
Children from 17 to 22 kg (approximately 4 to 7 years old): The usual dose is 2 sachets per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 12 sachets per day.
Composition
The active substance is:

The other ingredients are:
Glycine, mandarin aroma (containing lactose) and ammonium glycyrrhizate.
Precautions for use
If your child is less than a month old, you should first consult your doctor before using any medicine containing aspirin, regardless of the strength.
During treatment in children
This dosage is suitable for children between 6 kg and 22 kg. For children weighing less than 6 kg or more than 22 kg, there are other forms of aspirin with more suitable dosage.
Pregnancy and breast feeding
Pregnancy
This medicine contains aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid).
Before the start of the 6th month of pregnancy (up to the 24th week of amenorrhea) you should not take this medicine unless clearly necessary as determined by your doctor because of the potential risk of miscarriages or malformations. In this case, the dose should be as low as possible and the duration of treatment as short as possible.
From the beginning of the 6th month until the end of pregnancy (from the 24th week of amenorrhea), this medication is contraindicated, you should NOT take this medication under any circumstances, because its effects on your child can have serious or even fatal consequences, especially on the heart, lungs and / or kidneys, even with just one intake.
If you took this medicine while you were pregnant, tell your obstetrician gynecologist immediately, so that you can be offered appropriate monitoring if necessary.
Feeding with milk
Aspirin passes into breast milk, this medication is not recommended during breast-feeding.
