This medicine contains aspirin. Aspirin belongs to the family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Using advice
This dosage is reserved for children weighing between 15 and 50 kg (approximately 3 to 15 years). The dosage of aspirin depends on the weight of the child. The ages are mentioned for information. If you do not know the child's weight, it should be weighed to give the best dose. Aspirin exists in many dosages, allowing treatment to be adapted to the weight of each child.
In case of pain and / or fever
Children from 15 to 20 kg (approximately 3 to 7 years old): The usual dose is 1 sachet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 sachets per day.
Children from 21 to 27 kg (approximately 6 to 10 years old): The usual dose is 1 sachet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 sachets per day.
Children from 28 to 40 kg (approximately 9 to 13 years old): The usual dose is 2 sachets per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 8 sachets per day.
Children 41 to 50 kg (approximately 12 to 15 years old): The usual dose is 2 sachets per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 12 sachets per day.
Taking it at regular intervals helps prevent fever or pain peaks.
In the event of pain and / or fever, the catches should be regularly spaced, including at night, depending on the dosage (see the “Dosage” paragraph).
In the case of rheumatic diseases, the spacing between doses should be at least 4 hours.

Precautions for use
This dosage is suitable for children between 15 kg and 50 kg. For children weighing less than 15 kg or more than 50 kg, there are other forms of aspirin with more suitable dosage. Do not hesitate to ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
During treatment, see your doctor immediately if your child has:
- disturbances of consciousness or behavior and vomiting, stop the treatment because Reye's syndrome is possible (see the paragraph "Before using ASPEGIC CHILDREN 250 mg, powder for oral solution in sachet-dose"),
Bleeding or pain in the stomach.The risk of these effects increases with the dose, in the elderly, in people with low body weight, in people who have had a stomach ulcer in the past and in case of association with certain drugs (see section "Other drugs and ASPEGIC CHILDREN 250 mg, powder for oral solution in sachet-dose"),
An asthma attack. This could be a sign of an allergy to aspirin or a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
In the event of prolonged administration of high doses of analgesics, you should not increase the doses of ASPEGIC CHILDREN 250 mg powder for oral solution in a sachet-dose in the event of headaches.
Regular use of pain relieving drugs can lead to kidney complications.
Pregnancy and breast feeding
Pregnancy
This medicine contains aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid).
Before the start of the 6th month of pregnancy (up to the 24th week of amenorrhea) you should not take this medicine unless clearly necessary as determined by your doctor because of the potential risk of miscarriages or malformations. In this case, the dose should be as low as possible and the duration of treatment as short as possible.
From the beginning of the 6th month until the end of pregnancy (from the 24th week of amenorrhea), this medication is contraindicated, you should NOT take this medication under any circumstances, because its effects on your child can have serious or even fatal consequences, especially on the heart, lungs and / or kidneys, even with just one intake.
If you took this medicine while you were pregnant, tell your obstetrician gynecologist immediately, so that you can be offered appropriate monitoring if necessary.
Feeding with milk
Aspirin passes into breast milk, this medication is not recommended during breast-feeding.Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
