DESCRIPTION
These Contour Plus blood glucose test strips can be used with all meters of the same brand. They are intended for individuals, for self-monitoring of their blood glucose, but also for healthcare professionals.
These strips, combined with a meter, are reliable blood glucose monitoring tools, and will allow the type 1 diabetes patient to adjust his or her treatment according to the results obtained.
The way they work is simple: these strips are inserted into the meter and then brought into contact with the drop of blood. The test result is obtained very quickly.
The test strips can be used to test the blood.
These Contour Plus blood glucose test strips are uncoded, which means the patient does not have to associate the meter with a code on the test strip box. This makes it easier to use.
The assay method is based on glucose oxidase, with the strips containing Aspergillus FAD-glucose dehydrogenase.
Some substances found in the blood naturally or as a result of treatment can sometimes generate interference with blood glucose meters. The Contour Plus system does not experience interference when the following substances are present in the blood: Ascorbic acid, uric acid, bilirubin, cholesterol, creatinine, dopamine, icodextrin, galactose, sodium gentisate, glutathione, hemoglobin, ibuprofen, pralidoxime iodide, icodextrin, L-dopa, maltose, methyldopa, paracetamol, sodium salicylate, tolbutamide, and triglycerides.
Contour Plus is a brand of Ascensia Diabetes Care, which draws on more than 7 decades of experience in products for diabetic patients.
Packaging: 2 x 50 strips.
