Description

13 depth settings:

The lancing pen has 13 lancing depth settings.

The setting selected should result in a well-rounded drop of blood of the proper size for the meter to provide a blood glucose result.

Each dot shown between the numbers 1 through 7 on the depth dial indicates an additional intermediate depth setting.

Try a shallow setting first and increase that depth setting until you find the most appropriate one to obtain the appropriate size blood sample (see meter instructions).

The setting you choose should allow you to obtain a sufficient drop of blood for the blood glucose test (see the Operator' s Manual provided with your meter for information on the appropriate blood sample size).

Adjust the depth by turning the dial.

Small number = superficial prick.

Large number = deeper stitching.

Caution for use

- Keep the lancing pen clean.

There are no special storage conditions.

- Keep your lancing device in your meter kit.

- Caution: keep the lancing pen out of reach of young children. The lancing pen, cap, lancets, and lancet protection disks may pose a choking hazard if swallowed.
