Indications: This medication is for: - patients with calcium and vitamin D deficiency - a supplement to osteoporosis treatments when there is not enough of a calcium and vitamin D intake. Contraindications: Do not take DENSICAL VITAMIN D3 500mg/400 UI tablet in the following cases: · allergy to one of its components or vitamin D · hypercalcemia (abnormally high level of calcium in the blood) · hypercalciuria (high level of calcium in the urine) · kidney stones · immobilisation for a long period of time · if you suffer from phenylketonuria (a hereditary disease discovered at birth) due to the aspartame content. WITH PRECAUTION in the case of: - prolonged treatment: it is important to regularly check the quantity of calcium eliminated in the urines (calciuria). Depending on the results your doctor will reduce or stop treatment. Blood and urine tests need to be regularly carried out when taking high doses of vitamin D. Treatment with bisphosphonates and treatment with an antibiotic of the cyclin family: it is advisable to wait at least two hours between taking these medicines and CALPEROS D3. Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose: Taking an excessive amount of this medication can lead to: Nausea, vomiting, intense thirst, constipation. If these appear, inform your doctor immediately. If treatment is prolonged calcifications can appear in the vessels and tissue.
Side effects: Like all drugs DENSICAL VITAMIN D3 500mg/400 UI tablets can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone): - constipation or diarrhoea - bloating, stomach pain - nausea - increase in calcium level in the blood and urine.
