Indication This medication is used as a decongestant for respiratory use (colds, rhinitis, rhino pharyngitis) for adults and children older than 12 years old. How to take this drug This medication is used via the respiratory tract (by inhalation). You should not SWALLOW the capsules but BREATHE IN the vapour. For best results you should follow the following steps: 1- Put the capsule directly into an inhaler or bowl, or cut the end of the capsule before putting it in either. 2- Pour boiling water onto the capsule. 3- Breathe in the vapours. Dosage Suitable for adults and, children over the age of 12 years old. Always keep to the recommended doses. IF IN DOUBT CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST. The daily dose is 1 capsule in an inhaler or bowl of boiling water. Do not exceed more than 3 inhalations per day. Frequency of dose Repeat the inhalations 3 times per day spacing out every 4 hours. For example: inhalation in the morning, at midday and in the evening. Composition Active ingredients: Lavender essential oil, red thyme essential oil, rosemary essential oil, thymol. Other ingredients: Paraffin oil. Coating of the capsule: gelatine, glycerol. Format This medication is in the form of a capsule to be inhaled by vapours. Each box contains 15 capsules. Precautions for use DO NOT SWALLOW. In case of an allergic reaction, STOP TREATMENT. For adults with a history of epilepsy: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR. Mises en garde spéciales Special warnings This contains essential oils and thymol which with excessive doses can lead to: - Convulsions, faints and/or breathing temporary stopping for newborns - Convulsions for children Comply with the doses and length of treatment. In the case of general signs of infections such as: - fever (>38,5°C) and persistant fever (more than 3 days). - appearance of other symptoms: sore throat, headaches, nausea, vomiting, ear ache, face ache, runny nose; - respiratory difficulties, hoarse cough, signs of an allergy; - persistent or worse symptoms with no improvement after 5 days of treatment. Contraindications Do not use PERUBORE INHALATION: - if you are allergic to one of its active substances (lavender, red thyme or rosemary essentials oils or thymol) or another ingredient. - on children who have already had convulsions linked to fever as this medication contains essential oils and thymol. Interactions with other drugs This medication contains lavender, red thyme and rosemary essential oils and thymol. Other drugs contain this. Do not mix with other drugs so as not to exceed the recommended dose. Pregnancy and breast feeding Pregnancy: This drug can only be used during pregnancy following advice from your doctor. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Breast feeding: It is not advisable to take this drug during breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Side effects Like all drugs PERUBORE INHALATION can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone). The following effects can occur: - local irritation and allergy; - due to the terpene derivative content and not respecting the prescribed dose. - Risk of convulsions for children and babies, - Possibility of agitation and confusion among elderly patients.
