Indication This medication is symptomatic treatment for constipation for adults. How to take this drug TRANSIPEG 5.9g is short-term treatment only. TRANSIPEG 5.9g works within 24-48 hours after taking it. Dosage Always respect the prescribed dosage by your doctor. IF IN DOUBT CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST. 1-2 sachets per day taken all at once in the morning. Frequency of dose Not applicable. Composition Active ingredient: macrogol 3350 (5.9g per sachet). Other components: sodium chloride, anhydrous sodium sulphate (E514), potassium chloride (E508), sodium bicarbonate (E500), aspartame (E951), potassium acesulfame, lemon flavouring. Lemon flavouring contains: maltodextrin, saccharose, lemon flavouring, gum Arabic (E414), lecithin (E322), silicum dioxide (E551). Precautions for use Special warnings: Be careful when taking TRANSIPEG 5.9 g power sachets: If you are using this for the first time or do not see any improvement after 2 weeks of treatment, consult your doctor. Contraindications Do not take TRANSIPEG 5.9 g, powder sachet to drink: - If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient or one of its components contained in TRANSIPEG 5.9 g powder sachet. Extra information - If you have certain intestine or colon illnesses - if you have a perforation or are at risk of one in the intestine - if you suffer from stomach pain - If you suffer from a hereditary disease called phenylketonuria because TRANSIPEG 5.9 g, powder for oral solution in sachet contains aspartame. Pregnancy and breast feeding Pregnancy: This can be taking during pregnancy (medical prescription only). If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued.
