How to Use To be taken orally. Dissolve contents of sachet in a glass of water. Dosage If used to relieve constipation: 1 or 2 sachets per day, preferably taken in a single dose in the morning. – If you are elderly, you generally should not need to take more than 1 sachet per day. If used to treat faecal impaction: 8 sachets per day (split into 2 doses of 4 sachets, taken in the morning and evening). Pack of 20 sachets. Precautions for Use Warnings Contains macrogol (also known as polyethylene glycol). Consumption of this substance has occasionally been reported to have caused allergic reactions (in the form of rashes, itches and bloating). In such cases, medical treatment must be sought immediately. Contains sodium (190 mg per sachet). Use with caution if you are on a sodium-free or low-sodium diet. Contains potassium (26.38 mg per sachet). If you suffer from kidney dysfunction, consult your doctor prior to use. Contra-indications Do NOT use if: – you are allergic to any of this medicine's ingredients (such as the active ingredient macrogol); – if you have inflammatory bowel disease; or – if you have abdominal pain of unknown cause, or a possible bowel obstruction.
