Therapeutic Indications: This medication is for the prevention or correction of an unbalanced diet during pregnant and breast-feeding. This medication should not be taken without a medical consultation. Contraindications: Do not take ELEVIT VITAMIN B9 coated tablet in the following cases: - simultaneous treatment with other medication containing vitamins and/or minerals (risk of an overdose). - simultaneous treatment of levodopa. - severe kidney failure. - increase of calcium in the blood and urine, kidney stones and tissue calcifications, - allergy to one of its components. If in doubt, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist. Cautions: Due to the lactosecontent in this medication it is not suitable for those with a fructose intolerance, glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency. The content of vitamin B12 and iron in this medication can lead to covering up signs of anaemia and therefore delaying the diagnosis. All the mineral salts and vitamins are covered by a varied and balanced diet with traditional foods (fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, fish, cereal, dairy products). Your doctor can help you having a balanced diet. Interaction with other drugs: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs. Pregnancy and breast feeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Dosage and how to use: Orally. 1 tablet per day. Swallow tablets with a glass of water. Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose: Consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Side effects: Like all drugs ELEVIT VITAMIN B9 coated tablets can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone). - linked to the iron content: discolouration of faeces and digestive problems (nausea, constipation, diarrhoea).
