Indication This medication is for adults for treatment in vitamin B1 deficiency. How to take this drug Orally. Swallow tablets with a glass of water. Dosage ONLY TO BE TAKEN BY ADULTS. The daily dose is 1 -2 tablets per day. Composition Active Ingredient: Thiamine hydrochloride: 250.000 mg Per coated tablet. Other ingredients: Povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, hypromellose 6 mPas, ethylcellulose (solid), rice starch; gum Arabic, liquid paraffin, solid paraffin, saccharose. Format This medication is in the form of a coated tablet, tube of 40 coated tablets. Precautions for use Due to the saccharose content in this medication it is not suitable for those with a fructose intolerance, glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency. Contraindications Do not take BENERVA 250mg coated tablet in the following cas: · if you are allergic to one of its components. Interactions with other drugs Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs. Pregnancy and breast feeding Pregnancy: It is not recommended to use this drug during pregnancy. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued. Breast feeding: Avoid taking this medication during breast-feeding. Side effects Like all drugs BENERVA 250mg coated tablets can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone). Immune system problems: Isolated cases of allergic reactions: anaphylactic shock, pruritis, urticaria, itching, angioedema, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, tachycardia, palpitations, collapses. Gastro-intestinal problems: Benign gastro-intestinal problems have been reported: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain. If you notice side effects that are not mentioned here, or if certain side effects become more severe, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Instructions in case of overdose At very high doses the following symptoms can appear: headaches, nausea, irritability and hypo-tension. If you have taken more Benerva than recommended, consult your doctor. Storage conditions Store in a place below 25°C.
