Description
The UrgoClean dressing comes in the form of a sterile, non-woven compress, made up of hydro-detersive fibers (polyacrylate) with a high level of absorption and cohesion. This unique innovation consists in crossing by thermal bonding, in a plane parallel to the wound, polyacrylate fibers according to a structural arrangement which gives UrgoClean its properties of absorption and trapping of fibrinous residues of the wound and resistance to traction. This hydro-detersive compress is coated with a micro-adherent lipido-colloid matrix which gels, thus facilitating the drainage of fibrinous residues, positioning and removal of the product. In contact with exudates, the lipidocolloid particles from the micro-adherent TLC gel, creating a moist environment favorable to cleansing. Concomitantly, the hydro-detersive polyacrylate fibers gel and attach themselves to the fibrinous residues, absorb them and drain them in order to facilitate their elimination (autolytic debridement). As a result, the fixation and drainage of fibrinous residues by the hydro-detersive structure of UrgoClean associated with its micro-adherent TLC promote the cleansing phase of fibrinous wounds. This mode of action results in specific properties: - Absorption of exudates, gelation and drainage of fibrinous tissues during the cleansing phase. - Absorption and trapping of bacteria by the structure of polyacrylate hydro-detersive fibres. - Maintaining a moist environment in contact with the wound favorable to the healing of the cleansed areas. - Easy control of minor bleeding from wounds. - One-piece removal of the dressing thanks to the resistance and traction of the hydro-detersive fibres. - Atraumatic and painless removal for the wound and respect for the peri-wound skin thanks to the micro-adherent TLC.
Directions
UrgoClean is indicated from the cleansing phase of chronic exuding wounds (leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers including perforating plantar disease) and potentially fibrinous wounds: acute wounds (burns, dermabrasions, traumatic wounds), post -operative, oncological wounds. Do not use UrgoClean in case of known sensitivity to the dressing or any of its components. Do not re-sterilize.
