Description
Gilbert's anti-adhesive allows easy removal of adhesive dressings. It also offers the possibility of eliminating traces of adhesive mass that may remain after the removal of a dressing.
For patients, dressing changes can be a source of pain and anxiety. For some, it is the most unpleasant and painful step they experience in their care. These difficult episodes can also be uncomfortable for caregivers, who do not want to inflict pain during their practice. One of the painful moments during dressing removal is the peeling off of adherent parts of the skin. Gilbert's anti-adhesive is specially designed to make this removal easy. It is formulated with PPG-2 methyl ether.
This is an organic solvent that is safer to use than ether, which has been used in the past to remove dressings. It removes dressings easily and removes any adhesive residue that may remain on the skin.
Instructions for use
For the first use, detach the tamper-evident tab on the cap. Using a rectangle of soaked cotton wool, apply a small amount of product between the skin and the bandage, without touching the wound, by pulling gently on the plaster. Systematically and carefully wipe off any traces of the product after use, particularly in folded areas, back, armpits, etc. Make sure that the product has not leaked. If this is the case, wipe carefully.
Precautions for use
Do not apply to wounds, damaged skin, mucous membranes or near the eyes. To be used with caution in the elderly. Do not use on children under 36 months. For use before applying electrodes or electric scalpel plates, make sure that all traces of the product have evaporated and been removed with a dry compress.
