The powerful smell of Puressentiel organic Cistus Ladaniferous essential oil is used in perfumery to create fragrances of the chypre or amber family. A shrub from the Mediterranean basin, in particular from Spain, it grows on poor soils.

Major properties
At the same time astringent, healing and antiseptic, it stops small hemorrhages, facilitates the healing of wounds by avoiding superinfection. It is recommended against all viral childhood infections, from whooping cough to measles, chickenpox and scarlet fever.

How to use
Immunity / Infection : Swallow 1 drop on a neutral tablet or in 1 teaspoon of olive oil or honey or even a sugar cube, and leave to melt in the mouth, 3-4 times per day. + Apply 3 drops of the Cistus oil with 3 drops of vegetable oil (macadamia for example) and apply it along the spine as well as on the arch of the foot. For bleeding, put 1-2 drops of the Cistus onto a cotton wool pad and leave it on the wound for several minutes (same procedure for a nose bleed; carefully put a cotton wool pad with Cistus in the bleeding nostril).
Other very good uses : Sagging skin (face, body) Superficial skin problems (spots, small cuts, chapping, cracking)
Skin Problems : Pour 1-2 drops of pure Cistus oil onto a cotton wool pad and leave on the wound for several hours.
Ampoules : Mix 2 drops of cistus ladaniferous essential oil + 1 drop of helichrysum essential oil + 20 drops of rosehip vegetable oil. Apply 4 drops of the mixture on the blister, 3 times a day until healing.
Skin ageing : Mix 1 drop with your normal day/night moisturising cream and apply as normal.
Other use Some women swear by it to combat wrinkles using it in the same way as for ageing skin. It can also be used for stretch marks including existing ones. For this, dilute 5 drops of the Cistus essential oil in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
Contraindication
This essential oil should be used with caution amongst people taking anticoagulants (risk of interaction). Like all essential oils the Cistus Ladanifer oil is not allowed during the first 3 months of pregnancy. It is also not to be used during breast feeding.
