Botanical details of carrot essential oil
The carrot is a biannual herbaceous plant which reaches 30cm in height. The leaves are split up. The umbels have small white flowers except from the central flower which is red. The swivelling root, most often orange, is fleshy and sweet.

Example of use of carrot essential oil
Orally- to stimulate liver function: 3 drops of carrot seed essential oil on a neutral tablet, 3 times per day for 15 days at every change of season.
Massage-Cracked hands: 10 drops of seed carrot essential oil in 15 ml of St John’s Wort vegetable oil.
Precautions of use for carrot essential oil
Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 8 years of age.
