The tropical Basil is a perennial and ephemeral plant used as a condiment. Still called Pistou in the Mediterranean, the leaves are used raw to flavour dishes. The Basil is native to tropical areas in Asia and Africa.
Properties
Very fragrant, basil essential oil is a powerful antispasmodic, effective against menstrual pain, but also spasms (hiccups and cough) and gastric or enteric pain. It also regulates the nervous system by treating states of fatigue or depression, spasmophilia and sleep disorders. It can effectively replace tarragon essential oil

How to use
Orally- Colitis: 2 drops of tropical basil EO on a neutral tablet after a meal. Once to twice per day for 5-7 days. Not to for long-term use.
Massage - Digestion problems: 5 drops of tropical basil EO + 5 drops of medicinal lavender EO in 15ml of sweet almond oil. Massage in circular motions onto the abdomen.
Sleep: 1 drop of essential oil of basil + 2 drops of essence of green mandarin on a handkerchief to breathe for 10 minutes at bedtime.
Painful periods : massage the lower abdomen with 2 drops of basil essential oil diluted in a little macadamia vegetable oil, renew if necessary.
Contraindication
Skin sensitivity in pure state. Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 8 years of age. Contains eucalyptol.
