Clary Sage is a biannual perennial herbaceous plant, very fragrant, reaches to more than one metre in height, with upright branched stem. It has large oval shape leaves, and pale blue/lilac and white coloured flowers which are grouped in rather loose bundles. It is native to Western Asia, central and southern Europe.

Example of use of Clary sage essential oil
Massage-Period Pains: 5 drops of Clary sage EO + 5 drops of tarragon EO. Apply in its pure state on the ovarian area at the first signs of pain, 3 times per day for 5 days.
Bath-Dysmenorrhea: 20 drops of Clary sage EO + 10 drops of lavender EO in 4 cap-fulls or 20 neutral base pressures. Pour everything into a warm bath.
Contraindication of the Clary sage essential oil
Not recommended for mastosis or personal or family history of hormone-dependent cancers. Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 12 years of age.
