Botany specifications
Small tree with a light green trunk, the Lemon tree produces at the same times its white flowers with a subtle scent and its fruits with an acid pulp. The essential oil is obtained after pressing the fruit and distilling it with water vapour.
Use
Diffusion +++, Bath +, Massage ++, Orally +++
Ambient setting: on its own or in a mixture by regular low heat evaporation.
Atmospheric diffusion: in a mixture from a diffuser by spraying.
Orally: diluted with some vegetable oil or pure on a sugar cube- only after medical agreement. 1 drop 2-3 times per day.
Inhalation: not recommended
Practical advice
Tonus : If possible put a diffuser in your office and when tiredness starts to hit, diffuse this mixture for 5-10 minutes: 2/3 of lemon tree EO + 1/3 of ginger EO.
Digestion : One drop of lemon tree EO in a little bit of olive oil or on half a sugar cube helps digestion especially after a big meal. It also helps avoid travel sickness in cars, boats, planes... The smell of lemon is one of the most pleasant smells and is like by the majority of people.
Important to know : Recommended for the family first-aid kit, the lemon tree essential oil can be combined with other essential oils.
Contraindication
Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 8 years of age. A photo sensitiser essential oil should not be exposed to the sun or UV rays in the 3 hours following its application.
