Used for respiratory, digestive and benign urinary infections. Dermal application for benign skin infections (spots, labial, acne...) and for mouth infections (gingivitis, ulcers).

Botany specifications
This small foliage tree was discovered in Australia at the time of Captain Cook. The English sailors used to infuse the leaves like tea, hence the name Tea Tree. Its properties have been studied since the beginning of the 20th century.
Use
Diffusion ++, Bath ++, Massage +++, Orally ++
Ambient setting: on its own or in a mixture by regular low heat evaporation.
Atmospheric diffusion: in a mixture from a diffuser by spraying.
Dermal application: diluting, 5-35% in vegetable oil.
Orally: diluted with some vegetable oil - only after medical agreement. 1 drop twice a day.
Facial sauna: 1-2 drops in bowl of boiling water, mixed with bourbon geranium essential oil.
Practical advice
Important to know : The Tea-Tree essential oil is unmissable in the family first aid kit.
Winter illnesses : Apply onto the throat and chest, diluted in 30% of macadamia vegetable oil.
Calming : Excellent atmospheric anti-septic but the odour is not that pleasant! Diffuse with ravintsara, lemon or mandarin EO.
Acne : Dilute 45 drops of tea tree oil in Jojoba vegetable oil in a 30ml bottle. Apply morning and evening after washing the face.
Mycosis : Mix 100 drops of tea tree EO + 60 drops of bourbon geranium EO in a 30ml bottle finished with jojoba vegetable oil. Apply onto the affected area 2-3 times a day.
Shampooing - lice: 6 drops of tea tree EO + 6 drops of lavender EO + 4 drops of lemongrass EO + 4 drops of geranium EO poured into 100ml of shampoo. Shake well then apply one dose onto the hair, leave to set for 5 minutes then rinse and repeat. Wash your hair every other day for 1 week.
Contraindication
Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 8 years of age.
