The powerful smell of Puressentiel Organic Cypress essential oil is resinous and persistent. This beautiful tree with green foliage acclimatizes to a wide variety of soils and to both heat and bitter cold. In France, cypress is grown mainly in Provence, but it is also found in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Algeria.

Main properties
It is an excellent cough suppressant. It is anti-infectious and antibacterial, but also phlebotonic (against varicose veins or hemorrhoids), venous, lymphatic, prostate or uterine decongestant. It can relieve menstrual pain, premenstrual syndrome or edema, and even cellulite. Finally, it is a good anti-fatigue weapon.
Main indications
All venous congestions: heavy legs, varicose veins, “heaviness” in the abdomen (premenstrual syndrome), haemorrhoids...
How to use
Massage: 3 drops in 10 drops of vegetable oil (preferably calophyll) 2-3 times per day, always taking the blood to the heart.
For Heavy Legs: 5 drops of cypress + 1 drop of lemon essential oil + 1 drop of peppermint + 1 drop of peppermint essential oil + 1 drop of rosemary cineole essential oil. Pour 2 drops into 5ml of calophyll vegetable oil. Apply on the vein areas morning and evening for 20 minutes. For a bath: 10 drops in a tablespoon of base or milk.
Cough, especially if already there, difficult, painful (bronchitis, whooping cough...) Apply 5 drops diluted in 40 drops of vegetable oil (preferably hazelnut) and massage on the lower back and stomach.
Other uses : The cypress oil has properties that “mime” our oestrogen hormones which can explain why it can be prescribed by a doctor in the case of a hormonal imbalance, notably for symptoms linked to menopause (hot flushes, excessive perspiration).
Contraindication
This essential oil is not allowed during pregnancy or breast feeding. It is also not suitable in the case of hormone-dependent fibroid and in the case of mastosis.
