How to use
Stings, bites, burns: Apply 3-6 pure drops onto the skin 3-4 times per day on the affected area. If the burn, sting or bite is recent, repeat the application every 15 seconds for 2 minutes then every 15 minutes for 2 hours (for a snake bite consult your doctor immediately). If the burn is spread out (for example sun burn over the back), dilute the lavender oil with St John’s Wort vegetable oil: 5 drops of one, 5 drops of the other.
Otitis: apply 2 to 3 drops of pure spike lavender essential oil around the ear (never in the ear canal), 3 times a day.
Athlete's foot: apply a few drops of pure spike lavender essential oil in the interdigital spaces, twice a day, for at least 3 weeks.
Other very good uses
Acne: Apply 2 pure drops on each spot/each blackhead, 2-4 times per day.
Herpes: Apply 2 pure drops on each pimple at least 8 times per day.
Shingles: Apply 2 drops of lavender mixed with 2 drops of calendula vegetable oil along the affected nerve path, 6 times per day until recovery (between 10-15 days).
Other uses
The spiked lavender soothes dental pain. Mix 2 drops of essential oil with 2 drops of St John’s Wort vegetable oil and massage onto the painful area and around the gum. Repeat this as many times as necessary.
Contraindication
Like all essential oils the lavender oil is not allowed during the first 3 months of pregnancy. It is also not to be used during breast feeding.
