Compact oregano essential oil has a particularly spicy and pungent scent. Spontaneous in the Mediterranean basin, especially in Morocco and Spain, compact oregano appreciates arid lands, roadsides, dry and rocky areas. This cousin of marjoram can grow up to 2000 meters above sea level.

How to use
All respiratory infections : Swallow 2 drops on a neutral tablet or with a teaspoon of olive oil or a quarter of a sugarcube or honey, 2-3 times per day for 7-10 days. Make sure you dilute the 2 drops in one of the above options because this essential oil is very strong! Apply 1 drop of oregano diluted in 8 drops of vegetable oil (St John’s Wort if possible) and massage onto the chest as well as the top of the back for 7-10 days.
Physical, Mental and nervous tiredness : Swallow or apply - 2 drops in 1 teaspoon of olive oil or honey, or on 1 sugar cube, OR apply 1 drop (diluted in 3 drops of vegetable oil) on the plexus solaire and 1 drop (same dilution) on the top of the back, 3 times per day for a maximum of 3 weeks.
Contraindication
This essential oil is very strong. Comply with the recommended doses. Do not use it for a long-time (never more than 3 weeks in a row) and do not change the dose or application method. Never apply the oil in its pure state especially if you have sensitive skin. It should not be used immediately for “little grazes” but only in case of a worrying or “resistant” problem. Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 7 years of age. Seek professional advice if you want to use it on children.
