Indication This medication is used to treat respiratory illnesses such as colds, coughs and simple bronchitis (inflamed bronchus). Bronchodermine is for adults and children over 30 months. How to take the Bronchodermine ointment How to use 1. Use the measurer provided to measure the correct dose. 2. Apply the ointment onto your chest (or onto the child’s chest) with your finger tips. You must not Rub in, massage in or cover the treated area with a cloth or clothes. 3. Wash your hands well after application to avoid contact with Eyes, mucous membranes and cuts. 4. Wash the measurer after using. Dosage Always keep the recommended dosage. IF IN DOUBT CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST. The dose depends on your age. The normal dose is: - for children between 30 months- 6 years: 1g of ointment once per day. - for children between 6-15 years: 1 g of ointment twice per day. - for adults and adolescents over 15 years: 1.7g of ointment twice per day. Length of treatment The length of treatment should not exceed 6 days. After that you must consult your doctor or pharmacist. Composition Composition per 100g. Guaiacol: 0.93 g Pine (essential oil): 1g Cineole: 1g Creosote: 62 g Format Bronchodermine is in the form of an ointment. One tube contains 60g of ointment. In Each box there is a tube and a measurer. Precautions for use Be careful when using Bronchodermine. Do not apply the ointment on large areas of your body. Before using this medication, consult your doctor: - if you have fever or infected phlegm; - if you suffer or have suffered from epilepsy. Contraindications Do not take BRONCHODERMINE - if you are allergic to one of the active ingredients (eucalyptol, creosote gaiacol, pine essential oil) or one of the other components in the ointment (you will find the list in section 6). - if you have skin injuries. - on a child who has already had convulsions. - on a child under 30 months old. Pregnancy and breast feeding Pregnancy: For precaution measures, it is advisable not to take this drug during pregnancy. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Breast feeding: It is not advisable to take this drug during breast feeding. You must not apply this ointment onto the breasts.
