Indication This medication is a bronchial secretion decongestant; it helps get rid of them by coughing.
It is recommended for adults in cases of recent respiratory disorders with difficulty in coughing (difficulties spitting the bronchial secretions out). How to take this drug Orally.
Dosage This medication has been adapted to patients on a hypoglucidic or hypocaloric diet.
The daily dosage is 750mg 3 times per day (1 tablespoon 3 times per day) (1 tablespoon = 15ml).

Other ingredients: Sodium saccharin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), hydroxyethylcellulose sodium, aromatic composition, sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Packaging This drug is in the form of a syrup. 250 ml vial. Precautions for use Special warnings Medical advice is necessary: - if loose or infected cough, or fever. - if you have a chronic bronchus (long-term) or lung illness. - if you have a stomach or duodenum ulcer. It is recommended not to take antitussive (to soothe dry coughs or cough irritations) medication or medication that dries out the bronchial secretions at the same time as this treatment of this medication. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ADVISABLE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Specific precautions This drug should always be accompanied by voluntary efforts of coughing, allowing expectoration. This drug contains sodium. This medication contains 99.39 mg of sodium per 15 ml of the drinkable solution. Patients should take into account their sodium intake. This medication contains 0.796% V/V of ethanol (alcohol); so 285 mg of ethanol per 15ml of syrup which is equivalent to 7.16 ml of beer or 2.98 ml of wine. The use of this drug is dangerous for alcoholics, and should be taken into account for pregnant or breast feeding women, children and high-risk groups such as those with liver impairment and epilepsy. Contraindications Do not take BRONCHOKOD SUGAR-FREE ADULTS 5% drinkable solution sweetened with sodium saccharin in the following cases: - previous history of an allergy to one of its components (notably methyl parahydroxybenzoate). Interactions with other drugs Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs. Pregnancy and breast feeding If pregnant or breast feeding, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Side effects Like all drugs BRONCHOKOD 5% FOR ADULTS, SUGAR-FREE syrup can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone): · Possible digestion problems (stomach ache, nausea, diarrhoea). It is therefore advised to reduce the dosage. · Skin reactions such as stretch marks, outbreak, urticaria and swelling of the face (angioedema). Some cases of pigmented erythema (brown marks on the skin) have been reported. · Due to the methyl parahydroxybenzoate content, risk of some allergic reactions. If you notice side effects that are not mentioned here, or if certain side effects become more severe, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
