Bailleul: Cystine B6 Tablets – Pack of 120 (Fragile Hair and Nails) Indications Created by Laboratoires Bailleul, Cystine B6 tablets may be used if you have fragile hair or nails, or a damaged cornea that is not healing properly. Precautions for Use Do NOT use if: – you are allergic to this medicine's active ingredients, or any of its other ingredients; – you have cystinuria (a genetic disorder of the kidneys); or – you are currently taking levodopa (artificial L-DOPA). If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Interactions with Other Medicines– Do not use this medicine if you are currently taking levodopa (artificial L-DOPA often used to treat Parkinson's disease), unless the latter is being used in conjunction with a DOPA decarboxylase inhibitor. – If you are currently taking, or have recently taken other medicines (including non-prescription medicines), consult your doctor or pharmacist prior to use. Women who are Pregnant or Breast-Feeding– No data exists regarding use of this medicine during pregnancy. As a precaution, you are advised not to use this medicine while pregnant. – This medicine contains vitamin B6, passes naturally into breast milk. Therefore, do NOT use this medicine if you are currently breast-feeding. – If pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any form of medicine. Directions for Use Take 4 tablets a day – with food – in 2 doses. Swallow whole with water. Side Effects As with all medicines, Cystine B6 tablets may have undesirable effects on the body. Some people are more resistant to these effects than others. – Cystine B6 tablets contain vitamin B6. If taken in large doses, or for an extended period, the tablets may – in very rare cases – cause certain neurological effects to appear after you stop treatment. These are not permanent. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you experience any undesirable effect(s) not listed here, or if the effect(s) is/are serious, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Storage Instructions – Keep out of reach of children. – Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. – Do not dispose of unused medicines as household waste, or by pouring them down the sink or flushing them down the toilet.
