Description
GAVISCONELL SUGAR-FREE MINT, chewable tablet sweetened with aspartam and acesulfame potassium forms a protective layer that floats over the stomach contents. This layer helps prevent reflux and keeps stomach contents away from the oesophageal wall, relieving heartburn and discomfort in the throat and mouth.
Heartburn may occur following a meal (e.g. after a high-fat or spicy meal), or during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms of inflammation of the oesophageal lining (e.g. difficulty and/or pain on swallowing, mouth ulcers, vomiting).
This medicine is used in the treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease such as acid regurgitation, pyrosis and difficult digestion (linked to reflux), for example, after meals or during pregnancy, or during oesophagitis.
Directions for use
Chew the tablet well before swallowing.
Adults, including the elderly, and children aged 12 and over: in the event of symptoms, two to four tablets, after the main meals and in the evening at bedtime, up to four times a day.
