Description
Marga contains locally acting antacids. They act by neutralising the acids secreted by the stomach.
It is used in the treatment of heartburn, heartburn and acid reflux.
Directions for use
Method of administration Oral use.
Dosage 6 tablets to be sucked per 24 hours. If this dosage is not sufficient to calm the problems, consult your doctor.
Duration of treatment If the symptoms do not disappear within 7 days, consult your doctor.
Precautions for use
It is preferable to consult a doctor in the following situations: digestive problems appearing for the first time, or if the problems have recently changed; problems associated with weight loss; persistent difficulty swallowing or abdominal discomfort. Do not use this medicine for a prolonged period of time without the advice of your doctor: tests may be necessary if symptoms persist. Due to the aluminium content of this medicine, precautions should be taken in patients with kidney failure who are on dialysis. People suffering from stomach pain should avoid using medicines containing aspirin or NSAIDs which weaken the stomach lining. Paracetamol, on the other hand, is safe for treating pain or fever. This medicine contains a significant amount of sugar (sucrose).
Contraindications
Marga should not be used in cases of severe kidney failure.
Pregnancy and lactation
The substances in this medicine are poorly absorbed. Nevertheless, do not use it for a long time during pregnancy or breast-feeding without the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
