Indication This drug is for stomach and oesophagus pains, burning or heartburn. How to take this drug Orally. Shake bottle before use. Dosage 1 tablespoon at times of pain. Frequency of dose Not applicable. Composition Active ingredients: Aluminium (hydroxide gel): Quantity of aluminium (hydroxide): 3.5g Magnesium (hydroxide gel): Quantity of magnesium (hydroxide): 4g Per 100ml. Other ingredients: Mannitol, sorbitol, saccharine sodium, amylace pulverised saccharose, mint flavouring, magnesium stearate, saccharose for direct compression. Format 250ml bottle. Precautions for use If you follow a diet restricted to carbohydrate, sugar-free diet or diabetic diet take into account the intake of sugars (10 mg mannitol, 125 mg sorbitol and about 250 mg sucrose) per dose. Look at the aluminium content if you are on chronic renal dialysis or prolonged treatment. Special warnings: If symptoms do not disappear after 7 days, consult your doctor. If pains are linked with fever and vomiting, consult your doctor immediately. Due to the saccharose and sorbitol content in this medication it is not suitable for those with a fructose intolerance, glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency. Specific precautions Not applicable. Contraindications Do not take XOLAAM solution if you suffer from severe kidney failure. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ADVISABLE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Pregnancy and breast feeding This drug can only be used during pregnancy following advice from your doctor.
