Ipraalox is therefore an inhibitor of the proton pump which prevents the manufacture of acid on the level of your stomach. This PPI is very effective but if you were to use it for more than 2 weeks it is necessary to see your doctor to check that there is no ulcer in the stomach (using a fibroscopy) . Your doctor will also prescribe the urea breath test to see if you have an HP or Helico Bacter Pilori bacteria in your stomach. This bacterium is very often responsible for the acidity, symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux or acid ascents. But it can also be asymptomatic and therefore, sometimes you do not hurt, but HP bacteria is present (you are carrier breast).
