Indication of Nexium Nexium tablets are for: Stomach-oesophagian reflux: - treatment the oesophagus from reflux - prevention of stomach acid going up the oesophagus - symptomatic treatment of the stomach-oesophagian reflux. In combination with appropriate antibiotic therapy, eradication of Helicobacter pylori for healing of duodenal ulcer in cases of Helicobacter pylori infection and prevention of recurrence of peptic ulcer in cases of Helicobacter pylori infection. Known side effects from Nexium Nexium can cause side effects such as: diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headaches. Nexium can also cause less frequent side effects such as: insomnia, drowsiness, vertigo, pins & needles, outbreak, itching, increase in transaminases, taste problems, difficulties with vision, dry mouth, hepatitis, confusion with ideas, depression, excessive sweating, anomalies in the blood formulation, gynecomasty, joint & muscular pain, Stevens&Johnson syndrome, allergic reaction, photosensitisation, hyponatremia. Contraindications Do not take Nexium 20mg · If you are allergic (very sensitive) to omeprazole or one of its components · if you are allergic to another inhibitor (for example pantoprazole, lanzoprazole, rabeprazole, esomeprazole) · if you take medication containing nelfinavir.
