Indication
Traditional herbal medicine used in subjective manifestations of venous insufficiency such as heavy legs.
Its use is reserved for the indication specified on the sole basis of the seniority of use.
Jouvence de l'Abbé Soury, oral solution in a bottle is indicated for adults.
You should contact your doctor if you experience no improvement or feel less well after 14 days.
Using advice
The recommended dose is 1 to 2 teaspoons twice a day, morning and evening, with meals.
Oral route. Shake the bottle before use. To be diluted in a little water.
Composition
The active substances are:
Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana L.) (fluid extract of ’leaf) ............................ 0.191 g
Extraction solvent: 45% ethanol (V / V)
Drug ratio extracted: 0.8 -1.0: 1
Viburnum (Viburnum prunifolium L.) (fluid bark extract) ................................... ............ 0.042 g
Extraction solvent: 30% ethanol (V / V)
Drug ratio extracted: 1.8 - 2: 1
For 1 teaspoon of 5 mL.
The other excipient components are:
Glycerol, ethanol, anise essential oil, Ceylon cinnamon essential oil, glucose caramel (E 150d), sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.
Precautions for use
This medicine contains sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate and may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
This medicine contains approximately 5% by volume of ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 800 mg per daily dose, which is equivalent to 20 mL of beer, 7.9 mL of wine per daily dose.
The alcohol in this preparation may affect children. These effects may include drowsiness and changes in behavior. It can also affect their ability to concentrate and participate in physical activities.
If you are dependent on alcohol, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
If you have epilepsy or liver disease, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
This medicine contains glucose. May be harmful to teeth. The use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.
Children and adolescents
In the absence of sufficient data, the use of this medicine is not recommended in children and adolescents under 18 years old
Pregnancy and breast feeding
