Description
Ibuprofen is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs provide relief by changing the way the body responds to pain and fever.
NUROFENCAPS 400 mg, soft capsule is indicated in adults and adolescents over 40 kg (12 years and over) for the short-term symptomatic treatment:
Mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, painful periods.
Fever and flu-like pain.
Using advice
Adults, children and adolescents over 40 kg (12 years and over):
As an initial dose: take 1 capsule (400 mg of ibuprofen) with a full glass of water, then if necessary, 1 capsule (400 mg of ibuprofen) every 6 hours. Do not take more than 3 capsules (equivalent a total of 1200 mg ibuprofen) per 24 hours.
Do not give NUROFENCAPS 400 mg, soft capsule to adolescents under 40 kg or to children under 12 years of age.
Oral use. Do not bite.
It is recommended that patients with a sensitive stomach take NUROFENCAPS 400 mg, soft capsule with meals. If you take it soon after eating, the onset of action of this medicine may be delayed. In this case, do not take more NUROFENCAPS 400 mg, soft capsule than the dose recommended to you in this section until the exact end of the renewal time.
This medication should be used for a short time only. The occurrence of side effects can be minimized by using the lowest possible dose for the shortest duration of treatment necessary to relieve symptoms.

Pregnancy and breast feeding
Pregnancy
You should tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking NUROFENCAPS 400 mg, soft capsule. Do not take this medicine during the last 3 months of pregnancy. This medication should not be taken during the first 6 months of pregnancy, except on medical advice.
Feeding with milk
Small amounts of ibuprofen and its metabolites pass into breast milk. This medicine can be used during breast-feeding as long as you take the recommended dose for the shortest possible time.
