Indication of Synthol gel
Synthol gel is recommended for adults and children over 7 years of age, as an additional local treatment for minor trauma (bruises, blows).
How to take this medicine
Method of administration Cutaneous use. Dosage 1 application on the painful area 2 to 3 times a day. Wash your hands after application. Duration of treatment If there is no improvement after 5 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
Composition
The active ingredients are (per 100 g of gel): Levomenthol: 0.520 g Veratrole: 0.250 g Resorcinol: 0.030 g Salicylic acid (anti-inflammatory): 0.100 g The other components are: aromatic composition (linalyl acetate, lavandin essential oil, linalool, coumarin, geraniol), benzyl alcohol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, citric acid monohydrate, macrogol lauric ether, 96 percent ethanol, purified water.

Precautions for use
Be careful with SYNTHOL, gel: This medicine is reserved for adults and children over 7 years. This speciality contains terpene derivatives (levomenthol, lavandin essential oil and linalool) which may cause accidents such as convulsions in children in excessive doses. Follow the advice for use: - do not use in children under 7 years of age, - never apply a higher dose than recommended (see Dosage), - do not apply to a large area of the body, - respect the recommended frequency and duration of treatment. In case of old or recent epilepsy, ask your doctor for advice After application, it is necessary to wash your hands to avoid any involuntary contact of the product with the eyes.
Contraindications
Never use SYNTHOL, gel in the following cases: - a history of allergy to salicylates, related drugs (NSAIDs, aspirin) or other constituents, - children with a history of convulsions due to fever or not, due to the presence of terpene derivatives (levomenthol, lavandin essential oil and linalool). Do not apply to the eyes or to injured skin, whatever the lesion: oozing lesions, eczema, infected lesions, burns or wounds.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are breast-feeding, it is preferable not to use this medicine and under no circumstances should it be applied to the breasts. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
