Indication
Nausicalm syrup is indicated for:
- prevent and treat motion sickness, in adults and children from 2 years old,
- treat temporary nausea and vomiting (no more than 2 days) and not accompanied by fever, in adults and children from 6 years of age only.
How to take Nausicalm

- Child from 2 to 5 years old: 1/2 to 1 teaspoon. - Maximum dosage: 75 mg / 24 h, or 5 teaspoons per 24 hours.
- Child from 6 to 15 years old: 1 to 2 teaspoons. Maximum dosage: 150 mg / 24 h, or 10 teaspoons per 24 hours.
- Adult (from 15 years old): 1 to 2 tablespoons.
Take or administer this medication half an hour before departure. It may be taken again during the trip.
In the symptomatic treatment of nausea and vomiting not accompanied by fever in adults and children from 6 years of age
- Child from 6 to 15 years old: 1 to 2 teaspoons every 6 to 8 hours. Maximum dosage: 150 mg / 24 h, or 10 teaspoons per 24 hours.
- Adult (from 15 years old): 1 to 2 tablespoons every 6 to 8 hours. Maximum dosage: 400 mg / 24 h, or 8 tablespoons per 24 hours.
Duration of the treatment
If you are taking or administering NAUSICALM syrup to treat nausea and vomiting without fever (ONLY in adults and children from 6 years of age), do not exceed 2 days of treatment. If the disorders persist beyond 2 days, medical advice is necessary.
Composition of the drug Nausicalm
The active substance is (for 150 ml): Dimenhydrinate: 0.472 g
The other ingredients are: Sucrose, caramel flavor, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.
Conditioning
Nausicalm comes in the form of a syrup. 150 ml bottle.
Precautions for use
Nausicalm contains 3.6 g of sucrose per teaspoonful and 10.8 g of sucrose per tablespoon which must be taken into account in the daily ration in case of a low-sugar diet or diabetes.
- Due to the presence of alcohol, tell your doctor in case of liver disease, epilepsy or pregnancy.
- As a precaution, do not use this medication in cases of bronchial asthma.
- In the event of long-term disease of the liver or kidneys, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR so that he can adjust the dosage.
- Taking this medication requires MEDICAL ADVICE in the elderly: predisposed to constipation, dizziness or drowsiness, with prostate problems.

Contraindications
This medication MUST NOT BE USED in the following cases:
- certain forms of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye),
- difficulty urinating of prostatic or other origin,
- known allergy to antihistamines (products intended to treat certain allergies),
- children under 2 years of age in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness,
- children under 6 years of age for the treatment of transient nausea and vomiting. Nausea and vomiting occurring in children under 6 years old can have various origins and should therefore lead to medical consultation.
Nausicalm SHOULD NOT BE GENERALLY USED, unless your doctor tells you otherwise, while breast-feeding. IN CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ASK FOR THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR OR YOUR PHARMACIST.
Pregnancy and breast feeding
Pregnancy
Nausicalm will only be used during pregnancy on the advice of your doctor. If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor as only he can judge the need for continued treatment. At the end of pregnancy, this medicine can cause harmful effects in the newborn baby. Therefore, you should always seek the advice of your doctor before using it and never exceed the recommended dosage. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Breastfeeding This drug passes into breast milk, its intake is not recommended in case of breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Driving and using machines
The drowsiness and decreased alertness associated with the use of this medication can be severe and make driving and using machines dangerous. This phenomenon is accentuated by the intake of alcoholic beverages or drugs containing alcohol, which should therefore be avoided.
