Pyralvex Mouth and Gum Solution – for oral ulcers and lesions – 10 ml Vial

Product Indication For topical treatment of inflammatory lesions of the oral mucosa, as well as mouth ulcers (aphthae). Directions for Use For topical use. Do not swallow. Apply to the gums using either the brush attached to the vial or a cotton bud. Do not rinse your mouth out immediately after applying the solution. DosageApply 2 to 4 times a day, including before bed. Do not use for more than a few days unless recommended by your doctor. Ingredients Per 100 ml: Active Ingredient: Rhubarb (purified, dry, hydroalcoholic root extract; contains 0.43-0.53% anthraquinone derivatives) – 5.0 g Salicylic acid – 1.0 g Other Ingredients: Ethanol (96%), purified water Precautions for Use – Contains alcohol (59.5% v/v). – If your lesions expand, or you develop a fever, seek medical advice IMMEDIATELY. Contra-indications Do NOT use: – if you are allergic to salicylate substances (e.g. aspirin); or – on children under 6 years. Interactions with Other Medicines– Due to the risk of reduced effectiveness, or even harmful results, do not use with any other mouth or gum medicine. – If you are currently taking, or have recently taken other medicines (including non-prescription medicines), consult your doctor or pharmacist prior to use. Pregnancy and Breast-FeedingIf you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any form of medicine. Possible Side Effects As with all medicines, Pyralvex mouth and gum solution may have one or more undesirable effects on the body. Some people are more resistant than others. Potential adverse effects include: – mild tingling sensation (due to the presence of alcohol); – allergic reactions (due to the presence of salicylic acid); and – yellow colouration of the teeth (which should disappear after treatment ends). If you experience any undesirable effect(s) not listed above, or if the effect(s) is/are serious, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Excessive Dose Not considered a possibility if this medicine is used as directed above. Storage Instructions Keep below 25°C. Re-seal vial carefully after use.
