Indication This medication is a local anaesthetic and anti-septic solution. This medication helps treat sore throats (without fever), mouth ulcers and small cuts in the mouth. Suitable for adults and children over 6 years old. How to take this drug Through the mouth. Solution for a mouth wash. Dosage and how to use Suitable for adults and children over the age of 6 years old. Local use mouth wash. Do not swallow. Normal dose: 10-15Ml of solution twice per day (dilute in the measuring cup with warm water): use all the solution in measuring cup. If necessary the dose can be increased up to 3 times per day; maximum dose is 20ml (to dilute), 3 times per day. Brush your teeth before using the mouth wash and rinse your mouth well before using CHLORHEXIDINE/ CHLOROBUTANOL SANDOZ 0,5ml/ 0,5g per 100ml solution. For a single-dose vial, dilute the contents in half a glass of water and then start the mouth wash. The length of treatment is 2 weeks for inflamed gums and gum disease. The length of treatment cannot be prolonged beyond 2 weeks without doctor’s advice. Composition Chlorhexidine digluconate: 0.5 ml Chlorobutanol hemihydrate: 0.5 g Per 100ml of mouth wash. Total alcoholic strength: 42.8 % (V/V). Dilutants with noticeable effect: Red cochineal (E124), alcohol. List of dilutants: sodium docusate, glycerol, 96% ethanol, purified water, levomenthol, mint flavouring, red cochineal A (E124). Precautions for use Store in a place below +25°C. Special warnings Do not put this product in contact with the eyes or nose. Do not insert the product into the ear canal. If symptoms persist after 5 days and / or with fever, a follow-up will be needed. Prolonged use can cause a colouration on the teeth, blockages and prosthesis. This drug contains a yellow-orange S dye agent (E124) and can cause allergic reactions. Interactions with other drugs Do not use at the same time as other anti-septics. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs.
