Description
The ThermaCare self-warming belt patch provides effective and targeted relief of muscle and joint pain associated with muscle tension, aches and pains or osteoarthritis. It is suitable for chronic or occasional pain. The ThermaCare patch is for single use only and does not contain any medicinal ingredients.
The ThermaCare patch has multiple cells that contain air-activated agents, such as iron, at their core. Heating begins as soon as the pouch is opened, when the cells come into contact with the oxygen in the air. The heat released soothes the pain.
ThermaCare gives you up to 16 hours of relief with one patch: 8 hours while you are wearing it and 8 hours after you take it off.
Instructions for use
1/ Open the pouch containing the ThermaCare belt to activate the heat. 2/ Place the patch on the painful area. For people over 55, it should be worn over clothing. 3/ Attach ThermaCare with the Velcro. After 30 minutes, the temperature of 40°C is reached. 4/ The patch can be worn continuously for 8 hours. It is thin and discreet, and odourless. 5/ After 8 hours, remove the patch and throw it away. Once the chemical reaction is complete, the patch cannot be reused. Precautions for use
Please read the instructions before use. Heating products can cause blisters and burns. This risk increases with age. If you are 55 years of age or older, wear the patch over clothing and do not use it while sleeping. Do not apply extra pressure or place a tight bandage or belt over the product. Each cell contains iron (approximately 2g). If swallowed, contact a doctor immediately. In case of skin or eye contact, remove the patch, rinse the affected area with water and contact a doctor immediately. Consult your doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory disorders, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or if you are pregnant. Discontinue use and consult a doctor: if you experience discomfort, burning, swelling, rash or any other persistent change in your skin where you have placed the patch; if after 7 days the pain is unchanged or gets worse. Do not use: if the patch leaks and/or deteriorates; in combination with other topical medications or other sources of heat; on injured skin; on bruises or swelling less than 48 hours old; on parts of the body that are not sensitive to heat; on people who cannot remove the patch themselves; in children under 12 years of age, for more than 8 hours a day.
