Product Description Imidazole antifungal cream for treating candidiasis and dermatophyte mycoses of the skin and mucous membranes. Directions for Use Wash and dry all lesions prior to use. Apply cream to lesions and surrounding skin (to a radius of 1 centimetre). Tips – Prior to use, clean affected skin with a pH-balanced or alkaline soap (acidic soap promotes the growth of Candida yeast). – Wear cotton undergarments and try to minimise the growth of fungi as much as possible. Dosage Apply once a day. Ingredients Active Ingredient: Per 100 g: Sertaconazole nitrate – 2.00 g Other Ingredients: Polyoxyethylene glycol stearate and ethylene glycol (Tefose® 63), lauric macroglycerides (LAM 2130 CS / LABRAFIL M 2130 CS), glycerol isostearate (isostearic peceol), light liquid paraffin, sorbic acid, methylparaben, purified water Precautions– Contains methylparaben. Possible Side Effects As with all medicines, Monazol cream may have one or more undesirable effects on the body. Some people are more resistant than others.Potential adverse effects include: – (in rare cases) localised reactions such as itching and rash. Since sertaconazole does not pass into the bloodstream when applied to healthy, intact skin or the vaginal mucosa, the probability of more severe side effects is low.
